The littlest thing? My baby girl child? The one with the beautiful smile that looks *exactly* like her brother?
Is four months old.
Four months of our sweetness. She is a sweet, lovely baby. She loves her Mama best and loves to be cuddled and held. Her smiles can bring you out of the darkest mood. Her whole face lights up and beams at you. You can be standing behind her and tell when she smiles because her whole body is involved.
She’s starting to bat a toys and to mouth everything. She’s like a baby bird, mouth wide, waiting to have something to slobber on. She discovered her thumb and is the most adorable creature when it finds her mouth.
She rolled over at home and is rolling over at school. She still isn’t really happy about being on her belly but she’s working on the skills to help her move. She’s still sleeping in a swing and loves all movement. Beware lying her on a flat surface. She will not be happy.
She loves to kick her feet and coo at you and she pines for the ceiling fan. It is beyond exciting to stare at. She loves to look at her mirror in the car and thinks her big brother is just about the most fascinating thing in the world.
Her cry? Is still the most pathetic sound on the planet. She has not mastered the ear piercing cry but instead has honed a mewling pathetic sound that brings to mind foppish wet kittens and dirty bedraggled puppies. It is nearly impossible not to rush to her and comfort the poor child.
She makes me laugh and it’s easy to make her laugh. She’s a joy and our hearts and arms are warmer because of her. Little Ellie, precious Lana, my baby girl. Happy 4 months. We love you.
