We had a really great weekend.
Saturday we cleaned up the house (woo hoo) and met Meghan (our new babysitter) for the first time. She is a responsible 21 year old college student and I frequent her mother’s store. I had been looking for someone local, that we could pay to stay at our house instead of always
abusing asking friends. Her mother recommended her to me and she and Jeffrey had a lovely night together.
We went out to a movie and dinner with friends. We saw Juno. I thought it was a smart, very funny movie. I’m really glad that we chose it. The premise is a 16yo girl gets pregnant and decides to give the baby up for adoption. It was much better than I had expected. It of course made me cry. However, I just kept looking at it and thinking about how awful it would have been to give Jeffrey up. Anyway I highly recommend it.
Then we went to dinner at Black and Blue. A trendy little streak and crab place in town. It was very yummy! Plus it was nice to sit back and relax with friends. Without worrying about the kids. We had a really nice time. We’re hoping to make this a every other month event.
Sunday we went to Stride Rite to get Jeffrey new shoes. Inexpicably, he’s outgrown all of his prior pairs. While we were at the mall, I used some Eddie Bauer gift cards to get some new clothes and we also bought a treadmill at Sears.
George Bush should come to our house and congratulate us for what good little consumers we are. Umm, maybe not.
It was a half price discontinued floor model. The deal was really too good to pass up and we’ve been throwing the idea around for a few months now. Anyway we are really happy with it. Of course, Sears forgot to give us the key to turn it on. So, it’ll be more fun when we can actually, you know walk on it.
