All the news

14 Jan

The past week was an incredibly stressful workweek, Jeffrey’s birthday and just a billion things at home.
We got a fish tank from Scott and Liane. It’s 55 gallons and so far it has water in it but isn’t ready for fish yet. We’ve been to the fish store twice so far and I think they’ve probably found good customers with us.

We finally took pictures of the cats to the shelter. We’re trying to get rid of two out of our four cats. We think some of Jeffrey’s respiratory issues may be due to the cats and we figured we’d start by getting rid of the two long haired cats.  We found a no-kill shelter in Hilton that is going to look for us. They don’t have room to take them so we gave them pictures and they will contact us if they have anyone interested. They say we have a pretty good shot because they are declawed, spayed and neutered, have all their shots and are long hair. They’re awesome cats but Jeffrey has to come first.

Jeffrey’s birthday party is next Saturday. My parents, grandparents and Brian’s parents are coming out for it. Woo hoo! Hopefully it will be a lot of fun but I still need to get my house super clean in preparation for it. I realize no one really cares but it will drive me crazy if the house isn’t extra clean to have people over. I still need to call and order subs to eat and get Jeffrey’s cake. I’m going to have them put a train on it since he’s currently obssessed with them.

Possibly before February, we may send Christmas cards. God, I suck at this.

Anyway, that’s all the news for now. Hopefully this week will be calmer than last and I’ll get to post a bit more. 🙂

Here’s to a great home being found for the cats!! Hopefully it will help Jeffrey 🙂

I dragged my feet on ordering the food for Morgan’s party–hell, I ordered her cake 18 hours before I needed it 🙂

Good luck–one thing at a time. If you can’t clean as much as you want, sweep everything into a tote, stick it in a closet and deal with it later. Or, serve a ton of wine and then no one will notice 🙂

Have you had Jeffrey tested for allergies? Alyssa had constant colds and such and we found out she is very allergic to cats and we had one. Can’t wait to hear about Jeffrey’s party!!
