Weekend roundup!

30 Jul

We had a really fantastic weekend. Friday night we went out to Eastview Mall and wandered around. We looked at play tables and bookcases for Jeffrey’s room but we were unable to make a decision on one.

I had grand plans for seeing The Simpsons Movie and having a nice dinner with Brian but we were unable to find a babysitter in town. Instead Brian installed our new ceiling fan on Saturday into the living room, replacing the awful one that was there and we went out to Outback for dinner. We had a good time. Mom and Dad called to see if they can come visit next weekend and I’m hoping Dad will help Brian with the other two ceiling fans.

Sunday we cleaned up the house in the morning and then put the baby down for his nap. When he woke up we drove over to Dibella’s for yummy subs and took them to the park. We ate dinner, took Jeffrey over to the super awesome playground and let him run around. When he was tired out; we grabbed the bikes and rode about ten miles along the canal path. It was just perfection. Jeffrey was happily pointing out ba-boats and ducks! to us, the temperature was just right and it was really relaxing. It was exactly what I’ve been wanting for the past few weeks. Some nice family time outside, being active and enjoying the summer. Plus! I’m nearing my goal of a 15 mile ride for the summer. Silly goal when compared to Kurt but huge for me!

What a great weekend! We had the bikes out on Sunday and rode to a park and to get ice cream. We ride by train tracks and our son talks about the trains the whole way.

Your weekend just sounded like it was so relaxing and enjoyable…good for you guys!

Hi Dani, I check out your site every chance I get. It makes me feel alot closer to you guys! I really enjoy keeping up with what’s going on with you, Brian and Jeffrey. I have a whole wall of pictures of Jeffrey near the computer and love to look at them. Can’t wait to print new ones every time Brian makes a new post. Keep them coming! All our love

I thought about both of you when the movie got released. Brian must be in awww! As for the weekend out, totally agree. Michael and I take Victoria for walks and trips to the pool and the zoo and whatever else we can manage to do. I love the bike idea, but it’s too hot for us.

Sounds like you guys are having a great summer and taking full advantage of the great weather and all the family time you can have. Good luck with the ceiling fans!
